The
Platte Valley Tractor Pull Club is having a membership drive and
we're sending information to people who were recomended by our
current members.
We are
an Antique Tractor Pulling Club. We use the National Antique
Tractor Pullers Association (NATPA) Rules. All tractors must be
1957 or older models. The rules include something for every
tractor that you may own, from a low geared Div I stock class, to
a Div. V open class without a speed limit.
We
have a points race in each of the weight classes, in each of the
Divisions. The winner of each class will recieve a plaque at our annual meeting
in January or February. You
receive points by being in a class (5pts), and by beating other
tractors (1pt for each tractor you place ahead of). You don't
have to attend every pull to win, but it's possible for a regular attender to win the points race and never get first place at a
pull.
At
this time it looks like we will have twenty-one points pulls this
year. Pulls will span from Gothenburg, Nebraska to Sterling,
Colorado, and from Chimney Rock, Nebraska to Oberlin, Kansas. If
you are not currently a member and you've pulled at some of our first pulls, you
will still receive points for pulls you missed when you become a member.
At the
end of the pulling year, we have a banquet with our annual meeting, and
all of the points winners are recognized.
The registration fee is $20.00, but you may
have as many tractors involved in the points race as you wish. You don't have to
be a member to attend any of our pulls, but to be in the points race you must be a member.
