Puller of the Year for 2007

PVTP Puller of the Year for 2006
Alvin Van Briggle - 2007 Puller of the Year

Alvin was one of the first pullers in our club and helped start our fine pulling club many years ago. Alvin said that he was going to be down sizing his pulling operation, so he traded his big trailer for a smaller one and sold his Div III JD A to a fellow club member, (I wonder if all the awards he won with that tractor was included?), and is working on a smaller pulling tractor that is easier to haul, but on the other hand I did see him buy two pulling tractors at the Tom Meirer estate sale. So maybe Alvin's down sizing is different then what I thought!!!!

If it wasn't for Alvin we all would be home mowing the lawn on the weekends instead of tractor pulling!!! So please give Alvin a big congratulations for the puller of the year and finding something else to do on weekends!! And pay attention to what he is doing and saying, you will learn something about pulling!!

Thanks again Alvin,
PVTP club

PVTP Puller of the Year for 2006
Rollie Brown - 2006 Puller of the Year

The puller of the year award is an award given in memory of former avid puller and club member Ollie Olson. The board selects a member that has been inspiring to all of us and sets an example to everyone what pulling is all about. Rollie Brown is the club's oldest puller, well into his 80's, but still comes to many pulls with his John Deere's and puts up some tough competition.

Rollie recently had an auction and sold most of his John Deere collection, but he did keep a couple tractors, so he can continue to pull. Rollie is truly an inspiration to us all, we all hope we can pull when we are in our 80's too. Since he wasn't present at our annual banquet, the club surprised him and presented him with his award at his auction.

Congratulations Rollie!
